The State Transport Authority (STA) has written a letter to the oil selling companies. If you show a pollution certificate at the petrol pump, you will get petrol or diesel.
Implemented in Odisha after Delhi:
This rule will be implemented in Odisha after Delhi. This will put a clampdown on vehicles that cause pollution by violating the Motor Vehicle Rules. The ST has clearly mentioned in the letter that no petrol pump will supply oil to a motor vehicle that does not have a valid pollution certificate. It has also been included in the e-detection system at all toll gates, emphasizing on checking pollution certificates.
